Aston Villa defender Mitchell Clark has announced on Twitter that he is leaving the club.
The 20-year-old is currently on loan to League Two side Port Vale, who play their final league game tomorrow against Bury.
Clark has appeared in 39 games for Vale at right-back, however, is able to slot into any position across the back four. The youngster’s aggressive style of defending has seen him pick up eight yellow cards this season.

But it is the Welsh academy product that announced on Twitter earlier today he would be departing his parent club after spending 12 years at Villa Park.
Twitter: After 12 years at the club my time is finally up, I’d like to thank all my coaches through the years that have help… https://t.co/Es6iBDr8R7 (@mitchellclark99)
In the tweet, Clark gives his thanks to all of the coaches involved in his development.
According to the Stoke Sentinel, the announcement has raised the eyebrows among those behind the scenes at Port Vale, as they have been chasing the player as a permanent signing since his arrival on loan.
Amid talk of the club being sold, Vale manager John Askey has made it clear that should he remain at the club, Clark will be a primary target this summer.
