The Championship season may have only just finished but already Villa are preparing for life in the Premier league by looking to make Tyrone Mings’ loan permanent.
According to The Times, Villa would have to fork out £15 million in order to prise the defender away from his parent club. The BBC reported Dean Smith saying he would like to keep the player also after quickly 2becoming a fans favourite.
We have options[…] with Tyrone Mings.
Villa secured their place in the Premier League thanks to a 2-1 win against Derby at Wembley and look to spend wisely in making key additions to the squad in what will be a much tougher season. Mings’ arrival came at a similar time to the Villains upturn in form in January.
The only question would be whether Villa should risk such a large sum of money on a player who has yet to prove himself at the top level of the game on a consistent basis.
