After an impressive loan spell in the Championship this season, scoring six goals and registering six assists, its no surprise Aston Villa want to make the move a permanent one.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, Lille are prepared to do the deal at the reasonable price of £5 million for the Dutchman.
This is after Villa’s promotion to the Premier League by beating Derby 2-1 at Wembley, thanks to a goal and a cross leading to the second from the very man himself.
Villa are now in a much better position to splash the cash at minimum risk as they know El Ghazi’s qualities and what he brings to the table at a small cost for a Premier League player at just 24 years of age.
El Ghazi was signed earlier in the season back when departed manager Steve Bruce was in charge but didn’t really get firing until he became a mainstay with Dean Smith since November.
The Express and Star reported EL Ghazi’s intent to stay beyond the summer.
I have to talk with my agent now. This club is amazing and I will be very happy if I can stay here.
