Much to the delight of Aston Villa fans around the country, Bournemouth’s manager Eddie Howe is seemingly prepared to let Tyrone Mings leave in the summer transfer window, according to reports at Sky Sports News.
Mings has been a real asset to the newly-promoted Aston Villa squad. It would, therefore, be a shame for Dean Smith to go into the new season without the powerful centre-back to aid his team against some of the impressive attacking sides seen in the Premier League.
However, due to the potential Mings has shown over the second half of the season while on loan with the club, it might not be easy for Aston Villa to get in there and sign him without any competition.
Many Premier League sides could now step up their interest in the centre-back following his promising end to the season, according to the report.
Before coming to Aston Villa, Mings had a lot of praise for the East Midlands team and, during an interview with the Guardian, he promised to ‘leave everything on the pitch and wear his heart on his sleeve.’
He did exactly that for the rest of the season, creating even more of a reason for Villa to sign him on a permanent deal.
