Bournemouth midfielder Harry Arter is the latest player to be linked with a move to Aston Villa since their play-off final win earlier this week.
Arter, 29, spent last season on loan at Cardiff City, making 25 appearances for the Welsh club, and now looks set for a permanent move away from the Vitality Stadium.
According to a report in the Irish Independent, Villa are the only Premier League club chasing his signature, while Championship sides Fulham and Stoke City are also hopeful of securing a deal for the midfielder.

The report also suggests that the possibility of remaining in England’s top flight is attractive to Arter, putting the Villains in a good position to reach an agreement.
Arter has spent the last four seasons in the Premier League, playing 94 games in that time, and would add a good amount of experience to Dean Smith’s side as they look to have a strong first season back at the top level.
The player is said to be keen to secure a move away from the Cherries in order to find a regular starting sport elsewhere and increase his chances of making his way back into the Republic of Ireland squad.
