Aston Villa secured their promotion to the Premier League earlier this week with a 2-1 win over Derby County in the play-off final at Wembley.
Anwar El Ghazi and John McGinn scored the goals, either side of half-time, as Dean Smith led his boyhood club back to the big time.
Villa spent three seasons in the Championship, following their relegation from the Premier League in 2016 – along with Norwich, who were promoted as champions this year.
Birmingham City forward Jota is set to become Villa’s first signing of the window, with the Spaniard on the verge of joining the club as part of a swap deal involving Gary Gardner.
However, reports claim that Villa are now looking to sign a new number one for next season, despite Jed Steer impressing towards the end of the campaign.
