After a stunning campaign in the Premier League with Cardiff, Neil Etheridge will certainly be a man in demand this summer with Aston Villa lining up a second bid for the shot-stopper after having an initial £8 million offer rejected by Cardiff, reports the Express and Star.
Having worked with both Dean Smith and goalkeeping coach Neil Cutler back in his Walsall days, Etheridge may be keen to re-ignite the relationship the two parties had by moving to the newly-promoted Premier League side.
Cardiff chairman Vincent Tan will reportedly do everything in his power to persuade Etheridge to stay, despite Neil Warnock admitting he may be forced to sell him this summer.

Following Cardiff’s relegation, it is claimed that West Ham and Fulham are also interested in the 29-year-old in what may yet be the start of a bidding war.
Another chance to play Premier League football could be an offer too good to turn down for Etheridge.
