Aston Villa are reportedly considering a move for Cordoba forward Andres Martin, according to Spanish outlet Cordopolis, cited by This is Futbol.

The report claims that Cordoba will consider parting ways with the highly-rated teenager for just £2.7m this summer, with Villa the only English side linked with the striker.

Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid, along with Sevilla, Rayo Vallecano and German outfit Eintracht Frankfurt are all tracking the player following an impressive breakthrough campaign.

Martin scored seven times in 32 appearances for Cordoba last season in the La Liga 2, with Cordoba suffering relegation to Spain’s third tier.

The teenager looks set to move on this summer and Villa need to bolster their attacking options, so a move for Martin could prove to be a smart signing.

Martin wouldn’t be brought in to lead the line for Smith’s side, however, with the Spaniard tipped as a future star, at £2.7m, Villa may well decide to firm up their interest with a concrete offer.
