Aston Villa have been joined by Middlesbrough in the race to sign Liverpool winger Ryan Kent, according to Goal, cited by Anfield HQ.
The 22-year-old spent last season on loan at Scottish giants Rangers, where he won Scotland’s PFA Young Player Of The Year award.
The winger is contracted at Anfield until 2022, so Liverpool are in no need to sell him, however, the Reds have placed a £12m price tag on the wide man.

Steven Gerrard is thought to be keen on bringing Kent back to Ibrox this summer, but it is believed that the £12 million valuation is outside of the Scottish giants’ range.
Middlesbrough are now the lastest side linked with a move for the winger as they look to push to get back in the Premier League next season.
Boro missed out narrowly on finishing in the playoffs last season, however, new manager Jonathan Woodgate will be hoping to bring his own philosophy at the Riverside.
Villa have already signed one winger in Anwar El Ghazi and a striker in Wesley Moraes Aas they look for a solid return to the Premier League and may well be adding Kent to their ranks this summer.
