Aston Villa have been quick to show their interest in numerous players this summer after their promotion from the Championship and one target they have their sights set on is Nottingham Forest’s, Joe Lolley.
The player himself has hinted that he’ll be staying with Nottingham Forest, despite the tempting transfer links with his boyhood club.
Lolley was up there with Forest’s top performers last season and to lose him from the squad whilst they fight for promotion next season would be a real blow to Martin O’Neill, so you can imagine that they will be doing all they can to keep him.
However, they may not have to try so hard after all. Lolley posted a tweet which seems to suggest the 26-year-old is ready to start pre-season with his current team and is only focused on the season ahead with Forest.

Dean Smith may be the one trying hard to sign him, but with the money Villa have to spend this summer, it remains to be seen if they will make an official bid to sign him.
