Matt Targett is set to undergo a medical on Sunday as he prepares to finalise his move to Aston Villa.
The defender is set to leave Southampton to join Villa for a fee of £14 million that could rise to £17 million with add ons.
According to the Telegraph, Targett is set to make the move to Villa this Sunday, after he has had his medical with the club.

Meanwhile, Southampton are looking to secure their own arrival from the second city, with Birmingham City’s Che Adams making the move to the South Coast.
Targett is a homegrown talent at Saints, and came through the impressive youth academy on the South Coast that has produced talents such as Gareth Bale, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott.
Targett was thought to be in a battle with Ryan Bertrand for the starting spot at the Saints, but is now set to depart the club to join Villa.
Targett’s only other club was Fulham, who he joined in 2018 on loan and helped the Whites beat Villa to secure promotion to the Premier League.
