Aston Villa are confident that they can strike a deal for Bristol City defender Adam Webster this summer.
According to the Bristol Post, Villa believe that they can reduce Bristol City’s £30m asking price for Webster, in order to bring him to Villa Park ahead of next season.
The report claims that Villa are hoping they can sign Webster for a fee in the region of £20m to £25m.

Villa are said to have already had a bid rejected for Webster. Bristol City have turned down a £12m offer from the Premier League side, with the report claiming that they are desperate to keep hold of their star defender.
Webster was Bristol City’s Player of the Season last term as he turned in consistently impressive performances at the back for Lee Johnson’s team, catching the eye of those at Villa, who were promoted to the Premier League via the play-offs.
