Leeds United have reportedly made a bid for Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Ivan Sunjic.
According to the Daily Mail, the Whites have made a move for the Croatia U21 international captain, who could be signed as a potential replacement for Aston Villa target Kalvin Phillips.
Dean Smith is keen on adding the 23-year-old to his midfield ranks after his impressive season at Elland Road.
Villa are thought to be willing to pay up to £20m for Phillips’ services, while Leeds are demanding a fee closer to the £30m mark.

However, following the Whites’ reported bid for Sunjic, a move to Villa Park for Phillips could well be a realistic possibility, with Marcelo Bielsa seemingly making a contingency plan in the form of the Dinamo Zagreb youngster.
Birmingham City are also keen on Sunjic, so Villa fans will be hoping that Leeds can bring the Croat to Elland Road which could then pave the way for Phillips to make the move to the Midlands.
