Aston Villa, Crystal Palace and Norwich City have all been linked with moves for Brentford’s Neal Maupay this summer, however, it appears as if Sheffield United are considering a record offer for the Frenchman.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Blades, who recently broke their club record transfer with the arrival of Luke Freeman from QPR for £5 million, are now plotting another record move for the Bees striker.

Villa boss Dean Smith has been tracking Maupay following the club’s promotion to the Premier League, however, Villa officials have been put off by the Bees £15 million asking price.
Smith and Maupay worked together at Griffin Park, with the prolific French forward scoring 28 times in all competitions last season.
It appears as if Sheffield United are willing to smash their record once again this summer, with boss Chris Wilder keen on adding to his options up front.
Villa, who signed Wesley Moraes from Club Brugge in a £22 million deal, are hoping to bring in another striker ahead of the new season, however, it appears as if Maupay won’t be on his way to Villa Park anytime soon.
