Brentford winger Said Benrahma is “actively seeking” a summer move to Aston Villa, according to L’Equipe.
The 23-year-impressed in the Championship last season, scoring 11 goals in 45 appearances.
Villa are still eyeing up potential summer additions, as Dean Smith builds a squad capable of remaining in the Premier League.
Smith is believed to be a big admirer of Benrahma and sees him as a primary target in the transfer window.
Villa have reportedly submitted a €16 million bid for his services, with the player desperate to move to Villa Park.
The Algerian’s current deal at Brentford expires in 2022, having joined from Nice last year.
The talented wide man has two caps to his name for Algeria, making his debut against Senegal in October 2015.
Time is slowly running out for clubs to sign players, so both Villa and Benrahma will hope a deal can be completed sooner rather than later.
