Aston Villa made it four pre-season wins in a row thanks to a comfortable 4-1 win over Charlton Athletic.
Villa started the game on the front foot and Anwar El Ghazi had the first effort of the game with just thirty seconds on the clock, but his shot was well blocked.
Dean Smith’s men continued to control the game and Charlton were struggling to get a touch on the ball.
However, despite their dominance, it took Villa until the 38th minute to open the scoring, when El Ghazi finished off a fantastic team move, assisted by Jack Grealish.
The away side only had to wait ten minutes for the second goal of the match. Grealish made a run through the middle of the field and played in Andre Green, who then slotted past the keeper.
Villa scored a third just two minutes later when John McGinn found the bottom corner from 20 yards.
Charlton pulled a goal back in the 65th minute when Ezri Konsa gave away a penalty, but McGinn put the icing on the cake with a fantastic solo goal in the 83rd minute.
