Aston Villa are reportedly working hard to complete a deal for Juventus goalkeeper Mattia Perin.
According to claims from Corriere della Sera, as cited by Inside Futbol, Dean Smith’s side are not giving up in their pursuit of the Italy international with under two weeks of the transfer window remaining for Premier League clubs.
Villa have been linked with a move for Perin in the past week, but recent claims suggested that he is unconvinced by the prospect of joining the newly-promoted team ahead of next season.

The former Genoa star was believed to have been on the cusp of a move to Benfica, but his proposed transfer to the Portuguese giants fell through as a consequence of a failed medical.
Perin appears set to leave Juventus this summer following their re-signing of club legend Gianluigi Buffon, and Villa do not seem deterred by the alleged issues in his previously anticipated switch to the Liga NOS side.
The two clubs are reportedly in regular contact as they look to tie up a deal in the near future.
