Cardiff City have handed Aston Villa a huge transfer boost after admitting that they could sell goalkeeper Neil Etheridge this summer.
As reported by Wales Online, manager Neil Warnock insists he is open to selling the goalkeeper amid interest from the newly-promoted Premier League side.
As I’ve said before, we’ll listen to anything. I’ve not heard anything and I don’t think Neil has.
Dean Smith’s men are known to be in the market for a new shot-stopper and have been heavily linked with Etheridge.

Jack Butland and Juventus’ Mattia Perin are among the names to be linked with moves to Villa Park, while Etheridge is a player that Smith and his coaching staff will know all about.
Etheridge had been tipped to leave the club after an impressive campaign in the Premier League.
Add to that Cardiff’s addition of Joe Day and the presence of Alex Smithies, Warnock could have three goalkeepers vying to tie down the number one spot by the time the new season rolls around.
