Aston Villa have made an official £12m offer for Galatasaray defender Christian Luyindama this week.
According to reports in Turkey, via the Birmingham Mail, Villa have offered £12m for the defender as they look to further strengthen their squad before the end of the transfer window.
The report claims that Villa have been waiting to make their move, due to the defender only signing for Galatasaray permanently earlier this week.

Luyindama spent the second half of last season on loan to Galatasaray in Turkey and impressed at the back with a number of commanding performances, attracting interest from Villa.
The DR Congo international joined on a permanent deal from Standard Liege, with Galatasaray yet to respond to Villa’s £12m offer as of yet.
He is also capable of playing as a holding midfielder, which will come as an attractive quality to Dean Smith – who has been looking to strengthen his midfield options.
