Hogan’s time at Villa Park does look like it’s coming to an end but we’re not sure why he’s being loaned out rather than sold. Wages are an obvious issue as clubs may not want to pay him as much as Villa do, but even then, there could be something that could be worked out in terms of the Villans paying a percentage of his salary even if they sold him.
A loan feels like Villa are kicking the can down the road when they could put a reasonable asking price on Hogan’s head and allow all parties to move on.
