Aston Villa have been told to pay over £25 million if they want to sign Brentford attacker Said Benrahma, and Dean Smith should meet the asking price.
Villa have been chasing a move for the Bees winger for a while now, but have yet to reach Brentford’s asking price.

The Bees want over £25 million to sell the winger, according to the Birmingham Mail, but Villa would rather settle for a deal worth over £15 million.
It is yet unknown as to whether Brentford will lower their valuation of the winger before the window shuts on Thursday, but Villa will be hoping to hash out a deal quickly.

Many have criticised Villa’s high spending this window, describing Dean Smith’s window as “doing a Fulham”.
However, signing Benrahma should be a key priority before the window closes on Thursday for Villa.
Villa may have already brought in Jota and Anwar El Ghazi on a permanent deal so far in the window, but they still lack clear depth out wide.
Benrahma would offer them some top quality in the midfield, and offer them someone who can really cause a defence problems.

The player’s quick turn of pace and direction is something that Villa lack in the current crop of the player’s in Benrhama’s position.
However, the asking price is still very high for Benrahma, and would signing him would continue to take Villa’s spending into risky territory if they were to be relegated.
But, if they’re able to negotiate the fee, then it could turn out to be a brilliant signing for Villa.
