The transfer window in England may be shut, but it is still very much open in Turkey.
Orta Cizgi, a Besiktas news site, have linked Villa forward Jonathan Kodjia with a move to Turkey.

Besiktas are reportedly in talks with the player and Aston Villa over a potential deal which would see the striker leave Villa Park.
Some Aston Villa fans reacted to the reports on Twitter.
@mylokieran believes that if Kodjia is on his way out, then it must mean that Villa are bringing in another striker.

Jack believe that the only way this happens is if Kodjia leaves in January.

Ashley thinks there must be little in the story, especially as Aston Villa would be very short on players if it did happen.
Twitter: @Sport_Witness @villareport Can’t believe there is anything in this. If we let him go we’d be desperately short. (@Ingramash)
@Chrsmo believes Villa were stupid to not bring another striker in if the news is true.
Twitter: Besiktas wants Kodjia. Was asking this when we didn’t sign a striker. What if someone comes in with £8-9m for Kodji… https://t.co/xETdEHj9LG (@Chrsmo)

If the rumours are true, then Villa not signing another striker before the deadline was a stupid idea.
If they can get some money for Kodjia, then it could be great business, especially as he looks likely to have limited game time this season.

However, if they were to sell him, they would only be left with two first team strikers at the club, which could be very dangerous.
Daniel Sturridge could be an option if Villa are to sell Kodjia, but really, they could do a lot better and need a lot better.
Villa would be stupid to not turn down a big bid for Kodjia, but it come back to haunt them if any of their strikers go down injured.
