Aston Villa go into the game with Bournemouth with a big decision to make in the defence.
Dean Smith will certainly have a tough decision to make at two o’clock on Saturday, with the VIlla boss presented with a conundrum at left-back.
Neil Taylor and Matt Targett are both in contention to start in Villa’s first home game of the season.
Taylor appeared in the defeat to Spurs, to the surprise of many Villa fans who expected to see new summer signing Matt Targett make his Premier League debut for Villa.

However, the Welsh international did have an okay game in North London, and coped with the change of pace that the Premier League brings.
Therefore, if he was dropped for the visit of Bournemouth, it wouldn’t be down to his performance last week.
However, new signing Targett does present an interesting option for Villa, especially going forward.
The former Southampton man can deliver a great cross when he’s more forward, presenting Villa with a decent attacking option from his full-back position.

Despite this, there was concerns at Southampton over the player’s defensive capabilities, with the player often losing focus and allowing the opposition to get in from behind, something that could come to haunt Villa if he continues to do it at his new side.
With such a big price tag as well, Targett may just force his way into the side.
However, Neil Taylor may very well start again against Bournemouth, especially if Dean Smith intends to not disrupt the team that did well against Spurs that much.
So if Neil Taylor starts over Targett this weekend, I wouldn’t be that surprised.
