Aston Villa have started their season the worst out of the three promoted sides, with Villa now sitting on zero points going into their third game of the season.
Despite leading at Spurs and fighting until the end against Bournemouth, Villa lost both games, and could do with a good result against Everton on Friday.
Both Sheffield United and Norwich picked up their first wins of the season over the weekend, meaning that Villa are the only newly-promoted side yet to open up their account for the season.
Therefore the game against Everton will be key, and Villa could do worse than looking towards Norwich City for inspiration.
The Canaries recovered from a big defeat to Liverpool on the opening day on Saturday after they beat Newcastle 3-1 at Carrow Road.

Finnish striker Teemu Pukki was key towards the victory, but that wasn’t the only difference in the win.
As picked up by former Villa forward Stan Collymore, the Canaries looked a lot stronger at the back, compared to their opening day performance that saw them thrashed by the Reds.

Norwich were defensively sound against the Magpies, and but for a late Jonjo Shelvey goal, they would’ve kept a clean sheet.

Villa, on the other hand, have now conceded five in two, and will need to stop conceding so many if they are to stay up in this division.
They really need to cut out the defensive mistakes that have hampered them so far this season, especially as they are now a Premier League side.
Players cannot switch off in the Premier League, especially with the number of striking talents in a lot of teams.
Villa could do worse than learn from the Canaries, and really shut up shop against Everton, and stop the defensive errors that have cost them so far.
