Read Aston Villa’s verdict
This deal is great for Villa, especially after El Mohamady’s great performance against Bournemouth.

The Egyptian was key against the Cherries, and was arguably Villa’s best man on the pitch in a narrow defeat to Eddie Howe’s side.
With former Villa boss Steve Bruce reportedly looking at a deal for Elmohamady over the summer, this deal secures the defender’s future at the club.
Guilbert may eventually win the job at right back, but Elmohamady is a solid option at the minute for Villa.
