Tyrone Mings has today been called up by Gareth Southgate for his next England squad to compete in European Qualifiers next month.
The Villa defender, who signed on a permanent deal over the summer, will join up with his international teammates to face Kosovo and Bulgaria, as the Three Lions look to qualify for Euro 2020.

Many Villa fans are delighted that the defender has done enough to earn a call up to the national side.
However, Mings inclusion in the squad has not gone down well with some rival supporters.
Kate believes that Mings should be nowhere near the England team, especially after only three Premier League games for Villa.

Andy reckons that he shouldn’t be in the side ahead of James Tarkowski and Ben Mee of Burnley, and also Jamaal Lascelles of Newcastle.

Nigel also doubts Mings, based off only three games in the top flight.

From an England perspective, Mings lack of Premier League games recently is a concern.
He’s only played three top flight games for Villa, in which his side conceded five goals.
However, Villa fans know what he’s capable of.
Mings should be a great asset for Gareth Southgate’s team if he is given the chance to show it against Kosovo and Bulgaria.
