Jota joined from Birmingham City over the summer, in a deal that saw Gary Gardner head the other way to St Andrew’s.
However, despite his previous association with Villa’s rivals, many fans have quickly become fans of the Spaniard.

Jota certainly now looks like a bargain, even after only a few appearances for Villa.
Many expected him to simply sit on the bench and be a backup for Villa’s other wingers, but instead, the Spaniard has become a key asset already.
He doesn’t look out of his depth in the top flight, and his skills on and off the ball have already been key for Villa.
Villa fans will be hoping he can continue to improve, and hopefully get off the mark for his new side.
