They then followed that up with a 6-1 demolition job of Crewe Alexandra at Gresty Road in the Carabao Cup.
Next up for Dean Smith’s men is a trip to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
Roy Hodgson’s side drew with Everton on the opening day of the season, lost to Sheffield United, and then somehow managed to beat Manchester United at Old Trafford for the first time.
They then followed that up with a defeat to Colchester in the Carabao Cup.
Aston Villa will be hoping that the team that lost to Sheffield United will turn up again so they can make it two wins from four heading into the international break.
