Aston Villa fans are feeling robbed after referee Kevin Friend ruled out a late equaliser at Selhurst Park.
With Villa trailing 1-0, Jack Grealish ran into the box before being challenged. The ball rolled out to Henri Lansbury, who put the ball past Vicente Guaita in the Palace net, before play was brought back.

Kevin Friend then booked Grealish for simulation, handing the points to Crystal Palace.
This was after Trezeguet was given his marching orders for two yellow cards, again angering the Villa faithful.
Several supporters took to Twitter to voice their frustrations with Friend’s late decision.
Matt asks why VAR was not checking the decision.

Haydn thinks Villa have been robbed, especially after several questionable decisions from the referee.

Cole is very angry with the decision, feeling that Villa have had a point stolen from them by the referees.
Twitter: We’ve literally just been robbed of a point. Fuming #avfc (@TalkAstonVilla)
Ty reckons that Palace deserved the win, despite an awful refereeing performance and the fact it should have ended 1-1.

It’s very hard to see what Kevin Friend has seen to rule out that goal.
If that’s simulation then… what even is a foul?
Villa have been robbed of a point, with VAR not even bothering to view the goal as Kevin Friend brought it back before they could even check.
It wasn’t the greatest performance, but Villa could’ve salvaged something with a late goal, and to have that happen is a real kick in the teeth.
Shambles.
