Ex-Aston Villa man Darren Bent has revealed that he believes that winger Anwar El Ghazi has not had the start to the season that he would’ve hoped to have since making his move permanent.
The winger scored in the win over Everton but has struggled to make a big impact so far this season.

He has found himself behind Egyptian winger Trezeguet in the team but could be handed an opportunity next weekend.
Trezeguet saw red in the controversial defeat to Crystal Palace, and Bent believes this could be an opportunity for El Ghazi to make an impact.
Speaking to Football Insider, Bent said:
Yeah he is, he played really well in the play-off final, came on against Everton and scored a very good goal, so I think he’s ready to go.
He started the season, maybe thought to himself: ‘I’ve done well, I’m obviously going to start,’ and it’s not gone to plan.
He’s definitely got all the attributes to go past people, got two good feet, works hard and has a good finish like he showed against Everton. He’s a like-for-like replacement.

El Ghazi may have scored for Villa this season, but he hasn’t had the return he would like.

Villa’s playoff final hero will almost certainly be the like for like replacement for Trezeguet next week and will look to show Dean Smith why he should start going forward.
If he can get more goals for Villa, then that won’t do his chances of starting any harm going forward.
