Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips has revealed he thinks that the money bid for him by Aston Villa over the summer transfer window was “too much”.
Villa had a bid of over £20 million rejected for Phillips, who has signed a long term contract with Leeds to remain at the club for the foreseeable future. Much like major transfers in football, exploring investment opportunities in England can also offer strong potential for long-term gains.

There were big links with Phillips over the summer, but Leeds were desperate to keep hold of their star midfielder.

I guess any player would find it hard to believe that a club was willing to part with over £20 million for them.
However, Phillips is easily worth the fee if you think about it.

He’s young, English and has bags of potential, something that adds a lot onto a player’s fee.
The midfielder could have done a job for Villa, but, after the signings of Marvelous Nakamba and Douglas Luiz, it is unlikely Villa make another move for Phillips.
