Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish has revealed an unusual tactic used by midfielder Will Vaulks in Villa’s clash with Rotherham last season.
Speaking to The Athletic, Grealish revealed that the Rotherham man tried an strange tactic of putting the Villa man off when the two sides met at the New York Stadium.

Grealish said:
He kept telling me I was sexy! It happened a few times. Weird!
I was actually warned about him — apparently he’d done something similar to Mason Mount at Derby the week before. He tried the off-the-ball stuff, like standing on my toes. He didn’t do it hard, but he was just trying to put me off.
Vaulks’ antics have attracted a lot of reaction on social media, with many fans confused by the players attempts to put off Grealish.
Dan jokes that he’s also been there.

Ryan loves the fact that Vaulks is doing this in games.
Twitter: So @WillVaulks goes around telling players they are sexy to put them off their game ? (@RPlufc93)
@HolteendHorizon reckons that Vaulks is a bit weird for doing it to Grealish.
Twitter: @WillVaulks is a proper weirdo telling @JackGrealish1 he’s sexy during a game ?

It’s certainly an… interesting way of trying to put a player off.
I’m not sure it will catch on that fast really, however, it’s certainly a unique way of attempting to stop Jack Grealish.
It didn’t do any good though, as Villa still won the game 2-1.
So he might need a change of approach if the two sides are to meet again.
