Aston Villa fans are calling on Dean Smith to start defender Matt Targett this weekend against Burnley.
Targett, who appeared in the cup win over Brighton in midweek, has yet to make a Premier League appearance for Aston Villa since joining the Villans from Southampton.

Ashley Preece of the Birmingham Mail made his predictions for Villa’s side to face the Clarets, but revealed that he believes that Targett won’t make the team.
This concerned many Villa fans, who took to Twitter to air their opinions and concerns as to why Targett hasn’t featured more in this Villa side.

Targett hasn’t really featured for Villa, and it’s confusing why he hasn’t made more of an impact.
The defender could bring some attacking threat to Villa, and is certainly better than Neil Taylor going forward.
However, Taylor is arguably the better defender, so Smith may want to stick with the Welshman.
