Wesley may have two goals already in his Aston Villa career, but some Villa fans aren’t happy with the striker.
The Brazilian, who was signed from Club Brugge for a fee of over £22 million, has received a lot of criticism from fans for going down seemingly too easily, and mainly down to the fact he is seemingly being used wrong by Dean Smith.

Several Villa fans have taken to Twitter to air their views about the forward, with several calling for Villa to sign someone else in January.

However, some Villa fans took to Twitter to defend the striker, saying that they believe he will eventually become good.

Read Aston Villa’s Verdict
Wesley was never going to be a lethal out-and-out finisher, and a lot of Villa fans have seemingly thought otherwise.
In Belgium, he was most effective when he was playing off another striker, something that Villa simply can’t do with their limited attacking options.

Should Villa sign another striker in January? Almost certainly, because Wesley simply isn’t going to get them the goals to keep them up.
Alongside the horrible lack of depth, Villa simply need to play to the player’s strengths.
