Aston Villa’s Jonathan Kodjia is reportedly the subject of a £7 million bid from Qatari side Al-Gharafa, but the deal is unlikely to happen.
Villa are reportedly not ready to sell the striker, according to the Daily Star, with Dean Smith still believing the striker is a key member of his squad.

The forward has been out injured recently, with the Ivorian requiring surgery after suffering a fractured cheekbone.
Kodjia had been linked with a move to Turkey over the summer, but Dean Smith revealed previously that he has no plans to sell the striker.

The striker hasn’t really been the same since he picked up an injury early on in his Villa career.
However, the club is simply has to keep the striker, at least until January.
Depth is a huge issue up front for Villa, with the club only having two fit first-team strikers at the club.
Kodjia is good backup for now, and Villa could put themselves in a hugely troubling position if they sell him.
Therefore, Smith is right not to sell him.
