Aston Villa could reportedly try and sign Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos in January.
According to the Scotsman, Dean Smith’s men could ‘test their resolve’ with a £20 million bid in the new year.
Given his mixed reputation in Scotland, would this be a good signing for Villa?

Morelos is a proven goalscorer, that much is for sure.
His record in Scotland speaks for itself and he has proven time and time again that he is ready for the step up.
Having scored 13 times already this season, Villa’s concerns may not be his ability to put the ball in the back of the net, but his poor discipline record.
Morelos was sent off five times in the league last season and is known for being a little ill-tempered.
Villa need to bring in reinforcements in the final third with Wesley failing to provide the goals. They would be bringing in Morelos to step up and make an impact straightaway, but there will surely be doubts about his ability to handle the occasion.
It may only take a few experienced Premier League defenders to get the better of him before he looses his cool in a high-pressure moment.
Morelos would no doubt add quality to Villa’s side, but Smith must be certain he can rely on him in the big moments.
