Former Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham is reportedly set to be named in Gareth Southgate’s England squad on Thursday.
The striker, who has had a storming start to the season since returning to Chelsea, spent last season on loan at Villa and was crucial in Dean Smith’s side securing their return to the top flight.

According to the Guardian, the striker is set to earn his first England call up for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers, which also rules out him ever playing for Nigeria.
Villa fans will also be on the lookout to see if Tyrone Mings will earn another call-up to the squad, whilst Jack Grealish remains on the fringes of Southgate’s squad also.

Abraham was superb at Villa, and his loan spell in the West Midlands surely went a long way into cementing his spot in the Chelsea team this season.
The striker has bags of talent, and is very much one that could be a major force for England should Gareth Southgate give him the opportunity.
Abraham should do a big job for the Three Lions, and he may have his spell at Villa Park to thank for it.
