The Scot has been in top form as of late, despite Villa failing to pick up a single league win last month.

McGinn scored two goals for Villa during September and was key throughout the month for Dean Smith’s side.
After it was revealed, Villa fans began to rally behind their Scottish midfielder.

The Scot will have some tough competition, but if Villa fans can rally behind their man, then he could have a shot at winning the award.
