England suffered their first defeat in qualification in over ten years on Friday evening, with Gareth Southgate’s men losing 2-1 to the Czech Republic in Prague.

Despite taking the lead early on through a Harry Kane penalty, the Three Lions were pegged back through a Jakub Brabec equaliser just four minutes later.
The Czech’s would grab a late winner through Zdeněk Ondrášek, condemning Southgate’s side to a rare defeat.
Many people were quick to criticise some poor defensive play for the defeat, with Danny Rose and Michael Keane coming under huge scrutiny.

With England having lots of defensive problems, could Tyrone Mings be the answer for Gareth Southgate?
The defender has been superb for Villa since joining on loan last season and is currently with the England squad.
Mings would surely be an improvement over Michael Keane at least, especially with Everton’s recent form.
However, Southgate may want Mings to gain more Premier League experience with Villa before handing him a start, with the defender not having a great game against Norwich City last weekend.
