Aston Villa’s Jonathan Kodjia could be close to an Aston Villa return, with the striker set to be in contention for the clash with Brighton this weekend.
Kodjia had been out after having surgery for a broken cheekbone, leaving Keinan Davis as the only backup option for Wesley up front.

Since joining Villa, Kodjia has had a number of injury problems that have hampened his career in the West Midlands, but the Express and Star report that the player could be back soon.
Kodjia will return to provide some solid competition for Wesley, who netted twice in the final game before the current international break.

The striker has had injury issues since joining the club, but this latest setback could have been a lot worse.
Kodjia’s injury left Villa with only two fit strikers, meaning that Dean Smith could have had a disaster on his hands if another forward went down injured.
But now he is back, Villa are back up to full strength up top, and could potentially attempt to force his way back into the team.
The striker has shown before that he is still capable of being a big threat for Villa, and last scored on the final day of last season against Norwich.
