Aston Villa are set to pay Bournemouth over £250,000 after Tyrone Mings made his debut for England.
Despite suffering racist abuse from the home crowd, Mings impressed many with his performance against Bulgaria, in a huge 6-0 win for the Three Lions in Sofia.
However, the player’s debut will cost Villa, as Bournemouth inserted a clause in the transfer deal, which meant that Dean Smith’s side will have to cough up £250k now that the player has earned his first cap for the national side.
Mings has been superb since joining the team last season on loan, with Smith making the deal permanent over the summer.

If this was ten years ago, then £250,000 would seemingly be a considerably large fee for Villa to spend.
But nowadays, this is a bargain.
Mings has been worth every single penny since Villa signed him last season and he looks like he will continue to improve going forward.
