Former Villa striker and pundit Stan Collymore has revealed what he told Villa star Jack Grealish about his future in the England squad.
The midfielder has been in top form as of late, and picked up a goal and an assist in the win over Brighton last weekend.

Speaking in his column on the Mirror, Collymore said:
No player was more influential for his team over the weekend than Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.
I sent him a message after the last England games saying there’s nothing for him to fear in terms of his rivals for the national team.
James Maddison is probably ahead of him in the queue and Mason Mount as well.
But if you put Grealish in any environment at club level or for his country he would make things happen for those ahead of him, and I’d have him in the next Three Lions squad all day long.
Reports have suggested that the midfielder is very much in Gareth Southgate’s plans, with the England boss watching Grealish last weekend.

Jack Grealish us a huge talent, and is a worthy captain at the club.
The midfielder is surely now a shoo-in for the England squad, and Gareth Southgate would be stupid not to pick him.
