Aston Villa have been dealt an injury blow ahead of their Carabao Cup clash with Wolves as Jack Grealish will miss the game after picking up an injury during the defeat to Manchester City at the weekend, but he’s yet to be ruled out of the upcoming Liverpool game.
Grealish left the Etihad on crutches after picking up a calf injury as Villa lost 3-0 to the Premier League champions, which would have left plenty of Villa fans with their hearts in their mouths.
However, as reported by the Express & Star, the problem is not thought to be serious and there is a chance that the Villa captain could still face Liverpool on Saturday, although that is far from a certainty at this point.

Grealish, who is being tipped for a call up to the England national team, will be keen to test himself against league leaders Liverpool, but Villa have to be careful with him. Unless he’s 100% fit, he shouldn’t play against the Reds as their style of play will mean he will have a lot of running to do.
Villa will want the captain in the team, but they’ll need to be sensible as they don’t want him missing the upcoming busy schedule by rushing him back too soon.
