Liverpool could be without midfielder Naby Keita for this weekend’s clash with Aston Villa after the midfielder picked up an injury in the cup win over Arsenal.
Keita looked to pick up a knock in the 5-5 thriller, with Jurgen Klopp confirming afterwards that the player will be assessed ahead of the trip to Villa Park.

Klopp told the official Liverpool website after the game that:
If Naby’s injury is not so serious, which I hope, then it was a nearly perfect night.
He felt a little bit. I saw it, he slipped when he lost the ball. He slipped away, I saw him limping afterwards and that’s why we did it.
Liverpool played out a ten goal thriller with Arsenal, with Divock Origi scoring a late equaliser.
The Reds have been drawn with Villa in the Carabao Cup quarter-final, but Klopp confirmed that the Reds could forfeit the game due to their commitments in the FIFA Club World Cup.

This could be a big boost for Villa, with Liverpool potentially having to rotate again for the clash on Saturday.
The Reds have rotated their midfield a lot this season and may be forced to again at the weekend.
However, the severity of the injury is not yet known, so this could be a simple knock for the midfielder.
