READ ASTON VILLA VERDICT
Dean Smith’s men were certainly not at their best against Wolves, and the absence of Jack Grealish was evident throughout.
Villa were unlucky to lose both Matt Targett and Jed Steer early on however, while two of the last three defeat’s have come against Manchester City and Liverpool respectively.
Therefore it is not all doom and gloom, but Smith will no doubt be keen to recover against Newcastle after the international break.
