Tottenham have entered the race to sign Aston Villa-linked Krzysztof Piatek from AC Milan.
According to The Guardian, Jose Mourinho’s men will rival Villa and Newcastle with a loan bid for the striker following Harry Kane’s recent injury.
As per the Independent, the Tottenham boss offered little indication about when Kane could return, conceding that the player’s injury was not ‘small’.
It was reported earlier this week by Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio that Villa had made a £25.5m bid to sign Piatek permanently following Wesley’s injury.
The striker has a current market value of around £29 million.

Villa shouldn’t be too worried by the prospect of Spurs trying to sign the Polish striker on loan because if reports are to be believed, their offer is a permanent one and crucially, this works in Milan’s favour.
The Guardian’s report claims that the Italian side would prefer to offload the striker for good, rather than see him join another club on loan this month.
In the long run, a move to Villa should appeal to Piatek as well. Once Harry Kane returns from his injury, the England star will again be Spurs’ undisputed number one striker, leaving a limited time frame for Piatek to impress in London.
