Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis was forced off in the first half of an Under-23 match against West Bromwich Albion.
As reported on the Express and Star, the youngster limped off the pitch after only 25 minutes of the encounter.
The 21-year-old has just recently returned after a spell on the sidelines with a hamstring problem and now could be forced to miss more action following the challenge from West Brom’s Chris Brunt.
Davis came on from the bench in Villa’s last Premier League match against Bournemouth and looked lively, linking well with new striker Mbwana Samatta on a few occasions, resulting in many fans being quite pleased with his display.
Some of them even made calls for the Englishman to start the next league match against Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur, but after this latest setback, that may be in doubt.
These fans took to Twitter to respond to the news, with some feeling that he is too injury prone, some not sure why he was playing in the match anyway and the rest simply devastated by the news.
