Tottenham Hotspur’s Victor Wanyam, a reported Aston Villa target, could be available to sign for free according to French journalist Nabil Djellit.
The France Football correspondent has reported that Tottenham Hotspur could terminate the Kenya international’s current contract at the club.
That would mean Wanyama would be free to join any club he wants and he has been linked with a move to Villa Park in recent weeks.

Wanyama is heavily out of favour at Tottenham at the moment under Jose Mourinho and has only played 23 minutes of Premier League action so far this season (Transfermarkt).
If Spurs do decide to terminate his deal, we feel Villa should make a strong approach to sign the 28-year-old because he has a vast amount of experience, which could be needed in abundance for Dean Smith’s men.
Wanyama has played 154 times in the top-flight and has made 217 interceptions in that period. We believe, for this reason, he would strengthen the current squad but the only problem which we see that could arise is his £65,000 wage demands.
With Villa in some financial trouble at the moment, however, that could prove to be too much for them to pay.
