Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis hobbled off in the first half of an Under-23 clash with West Bromwich Albion, as reported on the Express and Star.
The forward was required to come off after only 25 minutes of the match following a strong tackle from Chris Brunt.
As stated in the report, the 21-year-old only recently returned from a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a hamstring injury.

Davis was brought on as a substitute during the 2-1 defeat to Bournemouth last Saturday and put in an impressive display.
The attacker linked well with fellow striker Mbwana Samatta and some fans want him to be named in the starting line up for the next Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur alongside the Tanzanian.
However, the news comes as a blow for Dean Smith because he could be set for more time out of action, although the severity of the issue is not yet known.
Davis has found the net once for the senior team this season, scoring in the Carabao Cup (WhoScored).
