Manchester United will prioritise a move for Aston Villa midfielder Jack Grealish in this summer’s transfer window, according to a report on The Mirror.
The Red Devils are reportedly lining up a mega bid in the summer for the Englishman after news emerged that Leicester City playmaker James Maddison is closing in on a new deal with the Foxes.
United have been closely linked with a move for Maddison but with it looking like he’s staying with Leicester, the Mirror report that Grealish will now be their top summer target.

Maddison and Grealish have both been compared to each other heavily this season, with talkSPORT’s Ally McCoist saying that he prefers the Villa attacker over Maddison.
Grealish is in great form this season with nine goals and seven assists in all competitions (Transfermarkt), so we believe he is worth a big fee.
If Villa could get around £80m from United for Grealish, we believe that they should take it because that may be enough funds to sign two or three top-quality replacements, or even help with their current financial difficulties.
The midfielder has been a loyal servant to the club and has stuck with the team through good and bad times, which is why he is such a fan favourite at Villa Park.
His intentions are not yet clear, but if Villa get relegated to the Championship, then we believe that after everything he’s done for the club, he deserves the chance to move and try to get United back to where they used to be.
But, United have just signed playmaker Bruno Fernandes from Sporting Lisbon, so we’re not sure where Grealish would fit in and whether he would be a starter every game or not.
